Hear the score behind the final Olympic film

As the London 2012 Olympics draw ever closer, media and advertising campaigns designed to capture the spirit of the Games are appearing with increasing frequency. A series of four animated films written by the author Michael Morpurgo and based on the London 2012 mascots, have been gradually released since 2010 and this week the final film, Rainbow to the Games, was unveiled, playing in Odeon Cinemas and available to view online.

The scores for all four mascot films have been composed by Thomas Hewitt Jones and will be released by Decca in mid June, recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra and most recently by the British Film Orchestra and vocal octet VOCES8. The 2012 Mascot Films Main Theme is also available as sheet music for young pianists by Music Sales.
